OnePlus has announced another gadget that the company will be launching on April 28 along with OnePlus 10R 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite — OnePlus Nord Buds. The upcoming OnePlus Nord Buds will be the first-ever accessory in the OnePlus Nord series. The tag line for OnePlus Nord Buds is “More Power To You”.
“Building on the success and extensive reach of the OnePlus Buds Pro and Buds Z2, the OnePlus Nord Buds will mark the expansion of the Nord product line into the audio category in the Truly Wireless (TWS) segment, making the OnePlus audio experience more accessible. The OnePlus Nord Buds are being launched to build a robust Nord ecosystem and further strengthen the brand promise of being trustworthy, cost-efficient, and playful, providing a holistic OnePlus experience to the community,” said the company in a statement. OnePlus Nord Buds will be the third launch under OnePlus Nord series this year. The company launched OnePlus Nord CE 2 earlier this year and the Lite version of the samrtphone will launch on April 28. OnePlus Nord series made debut in India in 2021. OnePlus first launched the series in the US in 2020, where it emerged as one of the most-popular affordable phones.
OnePlus so far has not revealed any other details about the OnePlus Nord Buds. However, it is likely that the TWS earphones will be priced under Rs 5,000. This way they will be compete with the recently-launched TWS Buds from Realme, Realme Buds Air 3. The Realme Buds Air 3 are priced at Rs 3,999. Xiaomi too has range of offerings in this range — Redmi Buds 3 (Rs 2,999), Redmi Earbuds 2C (Rs 1499), Mi True Wireless Earphones 2C (Rs 2,499) and Mi True Wireless Earphones (Rs 3,999). Oppo too has Oppo Enco Buds (Rs 1799), Oppo Enco W31 (Rs 3499), Oppo Enco Air 2 Pro (Rs 3499) and Oppo Enco Air 2 (Rs 2499). Other than these there are a range of affodable offerings from Boat and Noise.
In the past few years, the affordable TWS range has emerged as the most-popular audio category in India in the past few years. The pandemic and hybrid working further fuelled the demand.
